CLINICAL DEEP TISSUE
Clinical deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. This technique is recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and patients who have sustained physical injury.
MEDICAL MASSAGE
Medical massage is performed with the intent of improving conditions or pathologies that have been diagnosed by a physician; a wide variety of modalities or procedures are utilized to focus the treatment based on the diagnosed condition.
INTEGRATIVE MUSCLE THERAPY
Integrative Muscle Therapy uses five styles of muscle therapy. The modality consists of effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibration/shaking. This combination has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function. Muscle therapy ranges from light to firm pressure determined by therapist evaluation and client needs.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage focuses on increasing blood and lymphatic fluid flow, reducing and eliminating pain as well as tender trigger points, and increasing range of motion of the affected area. Sports massages can be broken into 4 distinct types - the pre-event sports massage, the post-event sports massage, the restorative sports massage and the rehabilitative sports massage. As the names indicate, each type of sports massage has a different focus for the athlete as they are delivered at different times during their training and performance schedule.
ACTIVE ISOLATED STRETCHING
Active Isolated Stretching will help restore full joint movement, decrease tissue soreness and fatigue, increase tissue pliability and improve posture. Stretching, as well as nutrition, rest and exercise is a daily requirement: muscles shorten, stiffen, or become tense from work, training, posture, gravity, or stress.
Lymphatic Massage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) massage requires specialized training to correctly perform gentle manual therapy that encourages the movement of lymph fluids through the body then to the liver. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues before they are circulated into the blood stream. Some health conditions cause lymph fluid to build up and results in tissue swelling of the Lymphatic system not working properly. Manual lymphatic drainage (lymphatic massage) reduces swelling, increases blood flow, and supports proper Lymphatic system functioning
Lymphatic massage treats specific conditions:
Oncology • Fibromyalgia • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome • Rheumatoid Arthritis
Scleroderma • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) • Migraine • Tinnitus
• Pregnancy Edema • Lyme Disease • Inflammation

Fascial restrictions may be caused by a prior injury, trauma or surgery that created tightness, weakness or faulty movement patterns. Myofascial release softens and lengthens fascial restrictions allowing the tissues of the body increased tissue flexibility, pliability and decreased pain.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction and accompanying pain and restriction of motion. This is accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation, increasing venous and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia.
Myofascial Release treats specific conditions:
• Adhesions • Back Pain • Carpal Tunnel • Chronic Pain • Fibromyalgia • Headaches
• Migraines ;• Neck Pain • Pelvic Pain • Scars • Sciatica • Scoliosis • Sports Injuries

FASCIA STRETCH (YOGA) ●●●●●●●●●●
Fascia stretch therapy is the new buzz word for the most ancient form of healing and recovery for the body, YOGA! This form of body therapy is focused resistance stretching for postural changes, increased range of movement, and corrections to chronic conditions resulting from dense fascia restrictions. Fascia stretch (yoga) results in flexibility of muscles, allows normal bone rotational relationship, and improves mobility by focusing on the fascial lines that connect through and around muscles, nerves, and “There actually aren't enough stars for me to give Shelley! She is AMAZING. I have worked with chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists of all types including relaxation and sports and not solved the issues with my neck and shoulder. After just TWO weeks of sessions with Shelley I am healing and almost completely pain free which is a tall order since I am an aerobics instructor and constantly tightening up those same areas. WOW!!!”Jessica A. – Arkansasorgans. Eliminating fascia restrictions and scar tissue within the myofascial structures becomes the catalyst for tissue recovery and pain management.
Sessions for fascia stretch (yoga) are conducted clients home or within small workshop groups for safety and correct posture education.
